Job summary

Academics Ltd is recruiting a SEN Learning Support Worker to support learners with SEMH and academic needs at a Tewkesbury provision. You will help learners manage behaviour, engage in learning, and develop social and emotional skills as part of a supportive team.

Working under skilled staff, you will deliver targeted interventions, monitor progress, and ensure safeguarding policies are followed within a caring, welcoming environment for every learner.

Qualifications

• Caring, patient, and adaptable approach.
• Genuine passion for helping children with SEN.
• Experience working with children is beneficial but not essential.
• Willingness to learn and take on training opportunities.
• Enhanced DBS check or willingness to apply for one.

Responsibilities

• Creating a safe and encouraging environment to help learners thrive.
• Assisting with targeted interventions to support social and emotional progress and regulation.
• Monitoring achievements and helping learners reach their full potential.
• Ensuring safeguarding policies are followed at all times.
