Job summary

Academics Ltd is seeking a dedicated SEN Learning Support Worker to join a Gloucestershire provision. You will support learners daily with SEMH and academic needs, creating a safe, engaging environment where all learners can learn and thrive.

You will work alongside experienced teaching staff, help implement personalised learning plans, support behaviour and social-emotional development, and uphold safeguarding policies to ensure every learner feels valued and supported.

Qualifications

  • Experience working with children is beneficial but not essential.
  • Enhanced DBS check or willingness to apply for one.
  • Genuine passion for helping children with SEN.
  • Willingness to learn and take on training opportunities.

Job description

SEN Learning Support Worker

A specialist Alternative Provision setting in Gloucestershire is looking for a passionate SEN Learning Support Worker to join their team. You will be responsible for supporting a range of learners daily with their SEMH and academic needs as well as creating a fun, safe environment for all to learn and thrive!

As part of the role, you will work alongside and be supported by highly experienced teaching staff as well as a wide range of other education professionals. Your role will be essential in helping learners manage and understand their behaviour, engage in learning, and build social and emotional skills for life! You will be vital in creating a positive and supportive environment where all learners feel safe, valued, and understood whilst attending the provision.

Role Details:
  • Location - Gloucestershire based
  • Salary: £90 - £105 per day (DOE)
  • Hours: Monday - Friday (8:30am - 3:30pm)
  • Start: ASAP
  • Contract: Term Time only
