Job summary

Randstad Education is seeking a passionate Learning Support Worker for a SEN centre in Hindhead, UK. The role focuses on supporting young adults with learning difficulties, including ASD, to become effective communicators and independent individuals. You will work 1:1 and in small groups, mainly in the education centre with occasional community-based support.

The position runs Monday to Friday, 9am-5pm. Benefits include on-site parking, funded training, a free hot meal, and clear career

Qualifications

• Experience working with adults or children with learning or communication difficulties.
• Ability to create a positive and safe atmosphere in the classroom.
• Must have right to work in the UK and own transport.

Responsibilities

• Interacting and participating with the students in the development of skills, supporting pupils to reach their potential for independence.
• Supporting Clients' participation in social, leisure, educational and employment opportunities within the local community.
• Providing the support and care identified in students' individual learning plans.
• Encouraging and enabling students to maintain acceptable levels of personal and environmental hygiene.
• Participating in relevant training to achieve required qualifications and attend mandatory training days/courses, on or off site, as and when required.
