Job summary

Randstad Education is seeking a passionate Learning Support Worker for a SEN centre in the UK. The role focuses on supporting young adults with learning difficulties, including Autism Spectrum Disorders, to become effective communicators and independent individuals.

You will work 1:1 and in small groups, help develop life and employability skills, and participate in mandatory training. The role runs Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm, with benefits such as on-site parking and career progression

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Interacting and participating with the students in the development of skills, supporting pupils to reach their potential for independence
• Supporting Clients' participation in social, leisure, educational and employment opportunities within the local community
• Providing the support and care identified in students' individual learning plans
• Encouraging and enabling students to maintain acceptable levels of personal and environmental hygiene
• Participating in relevant training to achieve required qualifications and attend mandatory training days/courses, on or off site, as and when required

This fabulous SEN centre is looking for a passionate and enthusiastic Learning Support Worker to change the lives of young adults with learning difficulties including Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD). Your focus will be to help your students become effective communicators and independent individuals. Your support learners with life skills, employability skills and further education support.

Your support learners on a 1:1 and small group basis. This is based in an education centre however some of the work you do will be supporting in the community.

This role is needed Monday-Friday 9am-5pm.

Your responsibilities will include:
