Job summary

Randstad Education is seeking a passionate Learning Support Worker to help young adults with learning difficulties, including ASD, become independent communicators. The role is based in a dedicated SEN centre with no night shifts or weekends, Monday to Friday 9am-5pm.

You will work 1:1 and in small groups, supporting life skills, employability, and further education, and some sessions in the community. The ideal candidate has experience with SEN and a commitment to a safe, positive classroom

Qualifications

• Experience working with adults or children with learning or communication difficulties.
• Honest, trustworthy & ethical behaviour.
• Right to work in the UK.
• Own means of transport.

Responsibilities

• Interacting and participating with the students in the development of skills, supporting pupils to reach their potential for independence.
• Supporting Clients' participation in social, leisure, educational and employment opportunities within the local community.
• Providing the support and care identified in students' individual learning plans.
• Encouraging and enabling students to maintain acceptable levels of personal and environmental hygiene.
