Job summary

Randstad Education is seeking a passionate Learning Support Worker for a dedicated SEN centre in the UK. You will support young adults with learning difficulties, including ASD, in developing communication and independence, with a focus on life and employability skills.

You will work 1:1 and in small groups Monday to Friday 9am-5pm, with some community-based support. The role includes training, DBS compliance, and opportunities for career progression within a supportive environment.

Qualifications

• Experience with adults or children with learning or communication difficulties.
• Right to work in the UK.
• Own transport and willingness to travel for community support.

Are you looking for a care role with no night shifts or weekends?

Do you have experience working with SEN students?

Can you provide a positive and safe atmosphere in the classroom?

This fabulous SEN centre is looking for a passionate and enthusiastic Learning Support Worker to change the lives of young adults with learning difficulties including Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD). Your focus will be to help your students become effective communicators and independent individuals. Your support learners with life skills, employability skills and further education support.

Your support learners on a 1:1 and small group basis. This is based in an education centre however some of the work you do will be supporting in the community.

This role is needed Monday-Friday 9am-5pm.

Your responsibilities will include:

• - Interacting and participating with the students in the development of skills, supporting pupils to reach their potential for independence
• - Supporting Clients' participation in social, leisure, educational and employment opportunities within the local community
• - Providing the support and care identified in students' individual learning plans
• - Encouraging and enabling students to maintain acceptable levels of personal and environmental hygiene
• - Participating in relevant training to achieve required qualifications and attend mandatory training days/courses, on or off site, as and when required
