Job summary

Randstad Education is seeking a Learning Support Worker for a SEN centre in Guildford. You will work with young adults with learning difficulties including ASD to help them become effective communicators and independent individuals, supporting life and employability skills and further education.

The role is 9am-5pm, Monday to Friday, with benefits including on-site parking, funded training, and career progression opportunities. DBS checks and compliance apply.

Qualifications

• Experience working with adults or children with learning or communication difficulties.
• Ability to promote independence and life skills development.
• Reliable, honest and ethical conduct at all times.

Responsibilities

• Interacting with students to develop life skills and independence.
• Support learners in social, leisure, educational and employment opportunities within the local community.
• Provide support and care described in students' individual learning plans.
• Encourage and enable students to maintain personal and environmental hygiene.
• Participate in training to achieve required qualifications and attend mandatory sessions.
