Job summary

Academics are recruiting a passionate SEN Learning Support Mentor for a specialist Alternative Provision setting in Stroud, Gloucestershire. You will work alongside experienced teaching staff to help learners manage behaviour, engage in learning and build social and emotional skills for life.

This role focuses on creating a safe, supportive environment where every learner feels valued and understood while attending the provision, with term-time hours, a start ASAP and a Monday-Friday schedule

Qualifications

• Caring, patient and adaptable approach essential.
• Genuine passion for helping children with SEN.
• Experience working with children is beneficial but not essential.
• Willingness to learn and undertake training opportunities.
• Enhanced DBS check or willingness to apply for one.

SEN Learning Support Mentor

Academics are recruiting a passionate SEN Learning Support Mentor on behalf of a specialist Alternative Provision setting in Stroud, Gloucestershire.

As part of the role, you will work alongside and be supported by highly experienced teaching staff as well as a wide range of other education professionals. Your role will be essential in helping learners manage and understand their behaviour, engage in learning, and build social and emotional skills for life! You will be vital in creating a positive and supportive environment where all learners feel safe, valued, and understood whilst attending the provision so that everyone is able to develop and thrive.

Role Details:

• Location: Stroud
• Salary: £93 - £105 per day (DOE)
• Hours: Monday - Friday (8:30am - 3:30pm)
• Start: ASAP
• Contract: Term Time only
