Job summary

Protocol Education is seeking a dedicated SEN Learning Mentor for a role in Chigwell starting September. You will support pupils with SEND, help them build confidence and resilience, and work closely with teachers and pastoral staff to maintain a nurturing learning environment.

The ideal candidate will be patient, empathetic, and capable of forming strong relationships with pupils, contributing to a calm, positive atmosphere and inclusive school culture.

Qualifications

SEN Learning Mentor - SEN School - Chigwell | September Start

Are you passionate about supporting young people and helping them overcome barriers to learning?

We are working with a welcoming SEN school in Chigwell that is looking to appoint a dedicated and caring SEN Learning Mentor to join their supportive team from September.

The school provides a nurturing and structured environment where pupils are supported with their emotional wellbeing, personal development, and engagement in learning. Staff work closely with students to develop confidence, encourage independence, and provide tailored support that meets their individual needs.

You will work as part of a collaborative team alongside teachers, pastoral staff, and specialist professionals to create a positive and inclusive environment where every pupil feels valued and supported.

The ideal candidate will:

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
