Job summary

Protocol Education is seeking a dedicated SEN Learning Mentor for a SEN school in Chigwell with a September start. You will join a supportive team and work closely with teachers, pastoral staff and specialists to support pupils with SEND and emotional wellbeing.

You will build trusting relationships with pupils, demonstrate patience and empathy, and contribute to an inclusive environment that promotes confidence, resilience and independence.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting children or young people with SEND
• Patient, empathetic and able to build strong relationships with pupils
• Calm and positive approach when supporting pupils with challenges
• Passionate about helping young people develop confidence, resilience and independence
• Able to work effectively as part of a wider school team

Responsibilities

• Work with teachers, pastoral staff and specialists to create a positive, inclusive learning environment
• Support pupils with emotional wellbeing, personal development and engagement in learning
• Provide tailored support meeting individual needs to help pupils thrive
