Job summary

Priory Community School Academy is seeking three Learning Support Assistants for Worle Community School, Weston-super-Mare. These fixed-term roles run until 31 August 2027, at 27.5 hours weekly during term time plus 5 INSET days.

Salary is PATH 4 (£26,847 FTE) or £17,067 prorated for part-time, with a supportive SEND team and a focus on enabling student engagement and independence. You will deliver planned classroom support, assist with resources, maintain records, and liaise with staff, parents

Qualifications

• Experience supporting pupils with SEN needs.
• Ability to work independently and adapt to changing needs.
• Capable of delivering planned lessons to small groups.
• Strong communication with students, staff and families.
• Committed to safeguarding and promoting welfare of children.

Responsibilities

• Deliver classroom support for pupils as planned by teachers.
• Assist with resource preparation and display; care for pupils including health care.
• Keep records of work and provide feedback.
• Record student data and liaise with parents and colleagues as needed.
