Job summary

Mendip Green Primary School in Weston-super-Mare is seeking a Learning Support Assistant to join our team. The role supports pupils with additional needs across mainstream and specialist bases, delivering targeted interventions and assisting with learning activities.

The successful candidate will work 30 hours per week during term time, with a focus on SEN, autism, and language support. A positive attitude and compassion are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Experience or transferable skills from education, childcare, healthcare, social care, NHS, youth work or voluntary roles are welcome.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-to-one support for pupils with additional needs.
• Deliver targeted interventions and small group support.
• Support teaching and learning within the specialist resource hub.
• Work collaboratively with teachers, SEN professionals and support staff.
• Help pupils develop communication, social and emotional skills.
