SEN Learning Support Assistant — Term-Time Role

Job summary

St Mary Redcliffe and Temple CE VA School in Bristol is seeking a temporary Learning Support Assistant to support students with special educational needs. The role is 32.5 hours per week, term time only including INSET days, with a start date subject to references and clearances.

The salary is Bristol Grade 6 (BG6) £26,847 rising to £27,274 gross per annum pro rata plus holiday pay. The contract is fixed term initially until 31 August 2027 with a 6‑month probationary period.

Qualifications

• Good communication with students, parents and staff.
• Ability to work on own initiative and as part of a whole-school team.
• Experience supporting students with SEN is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Support students with SEN including physical, autism, hearing/visual impairments and ASD.
• Provide lunchtime supervision and participate in duty rotations.
• Assist with intimate care where required, with appropriate training.
