Job summary

Nala Global Ltd. is seeking a compassionate Learning Support Assistant to join a welcoming SEN school in Southwark, South London. You will support pupils with ASC, MLD, SLD, and other needs, helping them access learning and build confidence in a nurturing environment.

The role involves collaboration with teachers, therapists, and families to tailor support for each pupil and monitor progress, with opportunities for long-term progression.

Qualifications

• Experience with children or young people is desirable.
• Patient, caring and resilient approach.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Qualifications in Education, Psychology, Health & Social Care or related field welcomed.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-to-one and small group support for pupils with SEN.
• Assist students in accessing the curriculum and participating in classroom activities.
• Support pupils' social, emotional, and academic development.
• Follow individual education plans (IEPs) and behaviour support strategies.
• Work collaboratively with teaching staff, therapists, and parents.
• Monitor and report on student progress and wellbeing.
• Support students during lessons, break times, and educational outings.
• Assist with personal care where required.
