Job summary

OneSchool Global United Kingdom Kenley Campus is seeking a caring Learning Support Assistant to join our supportive and collaborative team. You will work with teachers, pastoral staff and campus leadership to provide tailored support that helps students with a range of learning needs to thrive academically and personally.

The role involves one-to-one and small-group support, assisting with learning activities, monitoring progress and contributing to a safe, inclusive classroom environment.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children or young people, particularly those with additional learning needs.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Willingness to undergo training and develop effektiv support strategies.

Responsibilities

• Providing one-to-one and small group support to students within and outside the classroom.
• Supporting students with identified SEND, learning barriers and additional educational needs.
• Assisting teachers with planning and delivery of learning activities.
• Encouraging student engagement, independence and confidence in learning.
• Helping to implement and monitor individual learning plans and interventions.
• Supporting students' social, emotional and behavioural development.
• Assisting with preparation of learning resources and classroom activities.
• Monitoring student progress and providing feedback to teaching staff.
• Promoting positive behaviour and maintaining a safe learning environment.
• Working collaboratively with teachers, parents and external professionals where required.
• Supporting students during assessments, educational visits and campus activities.
• Contributing to the wider life of the campus and supporting the school's inclusive ethos.

Working closely with teachers, pastoral staff and campus leadership, you will support students with a range of learning needs, helping to create an inclusive, positive and engaging learning environment where every student can succeed.

The successful candidate will be patient, compassionate and enthusiastic about helping young people succeed. You will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, a proactive approach and the ability to build positive relationships with students, colleagues and families. Previous experience working with children or young people, particularly those with additional learning needs, would be advantageous, although full training can be provided.
