Vision for Education is seeking a Learning Support Assistant to work in a specialist provision in Ely. The role is full-time from September 2026 and requires a calm, patient approach to supporting pupils with additional needs.

The successful candidate will work closely with a team, prioritise safeguarding, and contribute to a nurturing, well-resourced environment designed to support children who have struggled in education.

Qualifications

• Experience or knowledge of working with children and young people with additional needs.
• Ability to communicate effectively within a team.
• Flexible, proactive and patient.
• Enhanced DBS update service or willingness to process one.
• Completed safeguarding training or willingness to complete.

Responsibilities

• Support within a well-resourced specialist provision for pupils with SEN.
• Maintain a calm, professional approach in potentially stressful situations.
• Collaborate with teaching staff to support individual learners and groups.
