Job summary

Vision for Education Ltd in Redditch is seeking an experienced Learning Support Assistant to join an SEN School on a full-time basis. You will provide targeted support to pupils with SEMH and other learning needs, helping them access the curriculum and develop independence.

You will work closely with teachers to adapt activities, monitor progress, and contribute to a nurturing, inclusive environment that enables every learner to thrive.

Responsibilities

  • Provide one-to-one and small group support for pupils with SEMH needs and additional learning difficulties.
  • Support pupils with conditions such as ASC, PDA, ADHD, Attachment Disorder, and other needs.
  • Help pupils access the curriculum by adapting activities and resources.
  • Support pupils in developing emotional regulation, resilience, and positive behaviour strategies.
  • Encourage independence, confidence, and social interaction.
  • Implement behaviour support strategies and individual behaviour plans.
  • Assist the teacher in preparing learning materials, resources and classroom activities.
  • Support pupils during lessons, transitions, break times and off-site activities.
  • Help monitor and record pupil progress, behaviour and wellbeing.
  • Work collaboratively with teaching staff to adapt strategies to meet pupil needs.

Hours #removed#pm Monday- Friday.

About the Role:
  • Provide one-to-one and small group support for pupils with SEMH needs and additional learning difficulties.
  • Support pupils with conditions such as Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC), Pathological Demand Avoidance (PDA), ADHD, Attachment Disorder, and other learning needs.
  • Help pupils access the curriculum by adapting learning activities and resources to suit individual needs.
  • Support pupils in developing emotional regulation, resilience, and positive behaviour strategies.
  • Encourage independence, confidence, and social interaction.
  • Implement behaviour support strategies and individual behaviour plans.
  • Assist the teacher in preparing learning materials, resources and classroom activities.
  • Support pupils during lessons, transitions, break times and off-site activities where required.
