Primary SEND Learning Assistant – Calm, Proactive Support

Job summary

Academics in Cannock is seeking a experienced Teaching and Learning Assistant to support pupils and classrooms, including those with EHCPs, Speech and Language needs, ADHD, autism and SEMH.

You will work alongside class teachers, using initiative to enhance teaching and learning, build strong relationships with staff and students, and contribute to a calm, proactive classroom environment.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting primary-aged pupils, including those with SEND.
• NVQ Level 3 TA or equivalent must be demonstrated.
• Paediatric First Aid is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Support a range of pupils with varying needs and EHCPs.
• Collaborate with teachers and other staff to plan activities.
• Use initiative to enhance teaching and learning in the classroom.
