Job summary

Vision for Education is seeking an experienced Learning Support Assistant to work in an SEN school in Dudley, full-time. You will support the educational, social and emotional development of students with complex needs.

You will work with a class teacher and a team of support staff, delivering tailored assistance one-to-one or in small groups to help students reach their potential. DBS checks are required.

Qualifications

  • Experience with children and young people with SEN (e.g., learning difficulties, autism, sensory needs).
  • Qualifications such as Youth Work, Health and Social Care or Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools are desirable but not essential.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to quickly build rapport with students.
  • Able to obtain suitable references and a DBS check.

  • As a Learning Support Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting the educational, social, and emotional development of students.
  • You will work alongside a class teacher and a team of experienced support staff, providing tailored assistance to students with severe and profound learning difficulties.
  • The role involves working with students aged four to nineteen, either one-on-one or in small groups, to help them achieve their potential.
  • This is a full-time position, with the potential to become ongoing for the right candidate.

To be considered for the Learning Support Assistant position, you will:
