Job summary

Veritas Education Recruitment Ltd is seeking a dedicated Learning Support Assistant (SEN) to join a specialist setting in Romford, Essex. You will support pupils with SEN, including Autism, SLD, PMLD and complex communication needs, delivering 1:1 and small-group support in a classroom environment.

The role focuses on personalised learning, sensory interventions, and helping pupils develop communication, confidence and independence throughout the school day, in a term-time, full-time arrangement.

Qualifications

• Passion for supporting children and young people with special educational needs.
• Patient, caring, and resilient approach.
• Experience with SEN (desirable).
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Support pupils with SEN including Autism, SLD, PMLD and complex needs.
• Provide 1:1 and small-group support in class.
• Assist with personalised learning activities and sensory interventions.
• Encourage communication, engagement, emotional regulation and independence.
• Collaborate with teachers and therapists to deliver holistic learning.
