Job summary

Veritas-Education-Recruitmen is seeking a Learning Support Assistant (SEN) to join a specialist setting in Romford. You will support pupils with a range of additional needs, including autism, SLD, PMLD and complex communication needs.

You will provide tailored 1:1 and small-group support, assist with personalised learning activities, sensory interventions and care routines, and work with teachers and therapists to deliver a holistic approach to learning.

Qualifications

• Supporting pupils with SEN including Autism, SLD, PMLD and communication needs.
• Providing 1:1 and small-group support within the classroom.
• Assisting with personalised learning activities, sensory interventions and care routines.
• Encouraging communication, engagement, emotional regulation and personal development.
• Building positive relationships to help pupils feel safe and valued.
• Experience with Autism, SLD, PMLD or complex needs desirable.
• Experience with personal care or sensory needs preferred.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Supporting pupils with a range of SEN including Autism, SLD, PMLD and communication needs.
• Providing tailored 1:1 and small-group support within the classroom.
