Job summary

Oasis Academy Lister Park in Bradford is seeking a committed Learning Support Assistant to provide 1:1 SEN support and pastoral guidance, helping pupils access the curriculum and participate fully in class activities.

You will work closely with teaching staff to monitor progress, implement safeguarding practices, and adapt learning materials to meet individual needs, contributing to a positive educational experience for learners with SEND.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 or equivalent as a minimum.
• GCSE English and Maths at C grade or above.
• Experience of supporting pupils with SEN and utilising strategies to manage behaviours and meet needs.
• Awareness of Child Safeguarding and the latest SEN policies to implement effective provision.

Responsibilities

• Provide personalised SEN provision on a 1:1 basis, supporting the pupil in accessing the curriculum.
• Adapt learning to make it accessible for students with specific needs.
• Provide pastoral support and monitor pupil progress.
• Feed back to the class teacher and collaborate with staff to achieve individual targets.
