Job summary

Protocol Education is seeking enthusiastic Learning Support Assistants to join welcoming primary schools across Greenwich. As a LSA, you'll work closely with teachers to support pupils' academic, social and emotional development, helping create an inclusive environment where every child can thrive.

Experience is beneficial but not essential, and we offer ongoing CPD training, a dedicated consultant, and flexible long-term or permanent opportunities.

Qualifications

• Genuine passion for supporting children's learning and development.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Patient, positive and proactive approach.
• Ability to build strong relationships with pupils, staff and parents.
• Experience working with children in schools, nurseries, youth work or sports coaching is desirable but not essential.
• Willingness to learn and develop within an educational setting.

Responsibilities

• Support pupils individually, in small groups or with the whole class.
• Help children access learning by adapting activities to meet their needs.
• Provide encouragement and build pupils’ confidence, independence and engagement.
• Support children with additional needs, including SEND, where required.
• Promote positive behaviour and contribute to a calm, inclusive learning environment.
• Work collaboratively with teachers and school staff to ensure pupils receive the support they need.
• Assist with classroom preparation, resources and daily routines.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
