Job summary

Teaching Personnel is seeking an SEN Learning Mentor to support pupils in Bolton's SEN schools and specialist provisions. This role involves providing 1:1 and small-group support, building trust, and promoting inclusive learning.

You will work with teachers, SENCOs and other professionals to help pupils with learning, behaviour, communication and emotional wellbeing, adapting to individual needs with patience and resilience.

Qualifications

  • Experience working with children, young people or vulnerable individuals.
  • Previous experience in support work, mentoring, care, education or youth work is desirable.
  • A patient, calm and compassionate approach.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Confidence supporting individuals with challenging behaviour or additional needs.

SEN Learning Mentor – Bolton

Are you passionate about supporting children and young people with Special Educational Needs (SEN)? Do you have experience in support work, mentoring, care, youth work or education?

Teaching Personnel is looking for caring, motivated and resilient Learning Mentors to work in SEN schools across Bolton.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who wants to use their existing experience to make a positive difference to pupils who may need additional support with their learning, behaviour, communication and emotional wellbeing.

The Role

As an SEN Learning Mentor, you will:

  • Provide 1:1 and small-group support to pupils
