Job summary

Veritas-Education-Recruitmen in Chigwell-area schools seeks dedicated SEN Learning Mentors to support pupils with Autism, ADHD and other needs. Mon-Fri, 8:30–16:00, full-time though hours vary by school, term-time only, creating opportunities to gain experience in education, psychology, therapy, or youth support.

You will work 1:1 and in small groups, promote emotional regulation, build relationships and support teachers in inclusive classrooms.

Qualifications

• Supporting pupils with ASD, ADHD, SEMH and learning difficulties.
• Experience with SEN or behavioural needs is advantageous.
• Patient, resilient and proactive approach for working with children.

• Assist teachers in creating a positive and inclusive learning environment.

• A genuine passion for supporting children and young people
• Patient, resilient, and proactive approach
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Previous experience working with children or young people is desirable
• Experience supporting SEN, SEMH, Autism or behavioural needs is advantageous
• Ideal for aspiring Teachers, Educational Psychologists, Speech & Language Therapists, Occupational Therapists, or Youth Workers
