Job summary

Veritas-Education-Recruitmen is seeking a committed Learning Support Assistant (SEN) in Chigwell, Essex. The role focuses on supporting pupils aged 5–19 with SLD, PMLD, SEMH and related needs in a specialist SEN setting.

You will provide 1:1 and small-group support, contribute to personalised programmes, and work closely with teachers and therapists to create a safe, inclusive learning environment. This role is ideal for those passionate about helping vulnerable learners thrive.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting pupils with SLD and/or PMLD (desirable but not essential)
• Experience with personal care, manual handling, or sensory support (preferred)
• Experience working with children, young people or vulnerable adults (desirable)
• Ability to collaborate with teachers, therapists and support staff to create a safe learning environment

Responsibilities

• Supporting pupils with SEN including SLD, PMLD, SEMH and additional learning needs
