Job summary

Teaching Personnel is seeking dedicated SEN Learning & Inclusion Mentors to support pupils aged 4-11 in a specialist primary SEN setting in the Altrincham area. The role involves delivering 1:1 and small-group support and developing personalised learning activities in a compassionate, safeguarding-focused environment.

Ideal candidates will have experience with SEN, excellent communication, and resilience. Flexible full-time and part-time opportunities are available, with immediate and ongoing

Qualifications

Experience working with children or young people with SEN, disabilities, or additional needs.
Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
Commitment to safeguarding and welfare of children.

Responsibilities

Provide 1:1 and small-group support for pupils with complex SEN needs.
Encourage pupil engagement, participation, and independence.
Support children with communication and interaction needs using appropriate strategies.
Assist with personalised learning activities tailored to EHCPs.
Help pupils develop social, emotional, and life skills.
Support sensory regulation and behaviour management with positive approaches.
Work with teachers, therapists, and school staff to achieve best outcomes.
