Job summary

The Supply Register Ltd is seeking dedicated Teaching Assistants to join Reach South Trust on temporary, full-time or part-time roles in Devon. You will support teachers, assist with lessons, and help create a positive, inclusive learning environment for students across year groups.

This role emphasizes flexibility, strong communication, and a proactive approach to supporting students, including those with SEN.

Qualifications

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with students, teachers and parents.
  • Experience in teaching assistant or support role preferred but not essential.
  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting learning.
  • Flexibility to work across different year groups and classroom settings.
  • Driving licence and access to a car are essential.

Responsibilities

  • Assist classroom teachers with delivery of lessons and setting up resources.
  • Provide one-on-one or small group support to students.
  • Support students with SEN by implementing IEPs and accommodations.
  • Help manage classroom behaviour and maintain a positive learning environment.
  • Collaborate with teaching staff and other support professionals to ensure smooth classroom operations.

Job Title: Teaching Assistants to join Reach South Trust Bank - Full time and Part Time Roles
Company Overview: The Supply Register are a managed service working in partnership with Reach South Trust/Transforming Futures Academy.

We are currently seeking dedicated and adaptable Teaching Assistants to join our team on a temporary basis to cover short-term absences and provide valuable support to our students and teachers.

Position Overview: As a teaching Assistant, you will work closely with classroom teachers to provide essential support to students across various age groups and abilities.

Your role will involve assisting with classroom activities, providing one-on-one support to students, and helping to maintain a positive and stimulating learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist classroom teachers with the delivery of lessons and activities, including setting up resources and materials.
  • Provide one-on-one or small group support to students who may require additional assistance with their learning.
  • Support students with special educational needs (SEN) by implementing individualized education plans (IEPs) and accommodations.
  • Help to manage classroom behavior and promote a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Collaborate effectively with teaching staff and other support professionals to ensure the smooth running of the classroom.
Qualifications and Skills:
  • Previous experience working as a teaching assistant or in a similar support role is preferred but not essential.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with students, teachers, and parents.
  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting the learning and development of students.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to work across different year groups and classroom settings.
  • Relevant qualifications in education or childcare are advantageous but not essential.
  • Drivers Licence and car are essential
