Job summary

The Supply Register, in partnership with Reach South Trust/Transforming Futures Academy, is seeking dedicated Teaching Assistants to join on a temporary basis to cover short-term absences and support students and teachers.

As a Teaching Assistant you will work closely with classroom staff to deliver lessons, provide 1:1 or small-group support, support pupils with SEN via IEPs, help manage behavior, and collaborate with other staff to maintain a positive learning environment.

Qualifications

• Experience as a teaching assistant or similar role preferred but not required.
• Ability to communicate effectively with students, teachers and parents.
• Patience, empathy and passion for student development.
• Flexibility to work across year groups and classroom settings.
• Driver's licence and access to a car are essential.

Responsibilities

• Assist teachers with the delivery of lessons and activities, including setting up resources and materials.
• Provide one-on-one or small group support to students who may require additional assistance with their learning.
• Support students with SEN by implementing individualized education plans (IEPs) and accommodations.
• Help to manage classroom behavior and promote a positive and inclusive learning environment.
• Collaborate effectively with teaching staff and other support professionals to ensure the smooth running of the classroom.
