Job summary

Teaching Personnel is seeking a compassionate SEN Intervention Support Mentor to work within specialist SEN provisions across Bolton, supporting pupils with a range of needs including ASC, ADHD, SLD and more. The role focuses on delivering targeted interventions and promoting independence in learning.

You will collaborate with teachers/SENCOs to implement learning plans, adapt activities, track progress, and build strong relationships to boost confidence and engagement in school and beyond.

Qualifications

• Has experience working with children, young people, or individuals with additional needs.

Responsibilities

• Deliver targeted interventions on a 1:1 and small-group basis.
• Support pupils with academic, social, communication, and life-skills development.
• Work alongside teachers and SENCOs to implement EHCP targets and individual learning plans.
• Adapt learning activities to meet varying abilities and learning styles.
• Track progress and celebrate achievements, no matter how small.
• Build positive, trusting relationships that encourage engagement and confidence.
• Promote independence, resilience, and a love of learning.
