Job summary

Empowering Learning Ltd. is seeking a Children's Support Worker in Bolton to provide one-to-one and small group support for students with SEND. You will work within a SEN school, partnering with teachers, SENCOs, therapists and parents to foster progress and inclusive learning.

The role requires a calm, patient approach, strong communication, and the ability to adapt to individual student needs as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children and young people with SEND, in school or care settings.
• Calm, patient, and nurturing approach for students with complex needs.
• Excellent communication and ability to collaborate with staff, parents and external agencies.
• Flexibility and resilience to make a positive impact on students' lives.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-to-one and small group support to SEND students.
• Develop and implement individualised learning and behaviour support plans.
• Monitor progress and maintain records updating teachers and parents.
• Promote safe, inclusive environment and foster social/emotional skills.
• Assist with personal care and mobility where necessary.
• Collaborate in team meetings, training, and reviews.
• Liaise with external agencies to ensure appropriate support.
