Job summary

Teaching Personnel Ltd. seeks a compassionate SEN Intervention Support Mentor to work in Bolton within specialist SEN provisions. You will support pupils with ASC, ADHD, speech and language difficulties, MLD/SLD, and complex communication needs, delivering 1:1 and small-group interventions.

Collaborate with teachers/SENCOs to implement EHCP targets, adapt activities for diverse learners, track progress, and foster independence and confidence in pupils.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children, young people, or individuals with additional needs.
• Patient, empathetic and solution-focused approach.
• Ability to build strong relationships with pupils requiring extra support.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Committed to helping every child reach their full potential.

Responsibilities

• Deliver targeted interventions on a 1:1 and small-group basis.
• Support pupils with academic, social, communication and life-skills development.
• Work with teachers and SENCOs to implement EHCP targets and individual learning plans.
• Adapt learning activities to meet varying abilities and learning styles.
• Track progress and celebrate achievements.
• Build positive, trusting relationships to encourage engagement.
