Job summary

Veritas Education Recruitment is seeking a SEN HLTA to support pupils with a range of additional needs in our partner schools across West Yorkshire. You will work closely with teachers, the SENCO and support staff to deliver targeted learning support in class and small-group settings.

The role involves leading 1:1 and small-group interventions, adapting activities, monitoring progress and maintaining accurate records, with a focus on safeguarding and inclusion.

Qualifications

• Experience in Teaching Assistant role is required.
• Level 3 TA qualification preferred.
• Enhanced DBS check is mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality learning and pastoral support to pupils with additional needs.
• Lead and deliver targeted 1:1 and small-group interventions.
• Support pupils with needs including autism, ADHD, communication and learning needs.
• Collaborate with teachers and the SENCO to implement effective support strategies.
• Contribute to the development and review of individual support plans and EHCP outcomes where appropriate.
• Monitor pupils' progress and provide feedback to teaching staff.
• Promote safeguarding, inclusion and high expectations for all pupils.
