Job summary

The Graduate Network is seeking an SEN Graduate Teaching Assistant to support pupils in an EYFS SEN Hub at a Good primary school in Stechford. You will assist with learning activities, routines and play-based learning, helping children gain confidence and communication skills.

Candidates should have a 2:2 degree in a related subject, a genuine interest in SEN, and a calm, nurturing approach. Enhanced DBS is required or willing to obtain one.

Qualifications

• 2:2 degree in Psychology, Education, Early Childhood Studies or related field.
• Genuine interest in supporting SEN in an EYFS setting.
• Strong communication skills with a calm, nurturing approach.
• Ability to support routines, play-based learning and positive interaction.
• Enhanced DBS certificate held or willing to obtain.

SEN Graduate Teaching Assistant

The Role:

As an SEN Graduate Teaching Assistant, you will support pupils within the EYFS SEN Hub, helping them engage with learning, routines and play-based activities. You will work with small groups of children who need additional support with communication, social interaction, early development and confidence. You will also help create a calm, structured and nurturing environment where pupils feel safe and ready to learn.

The Candidate:

This role will suit a caring, patient and resilient graduate who wants to build meaningful experience in early years SEN. You should be confident supporting young children, following guidance from teaching staff and adapting your approach to meet different needs. This is a strong opportunity for someone considering primary teaching, SEN, educational psychology or clinical psychology.

Requirements
