Job summary

Education Network in Lincoln near the city centre is seeking a SEN Graduate Teaching Assistant to provide specialist support for pupils with Autism, ADHD and EBD. The role combines 1:1 work, small-group intervention and classroom support to help pupils follow routines, regulate behaviour and access learning.

SEN Graduate Teaching Assistant

Could you be the consistent support pupils need to feel safe, understood, and ready to learn? Are you looking for meaningful SEN experience before moving into educational or clinical psychology?

  • £85 - £102 per day
  • September 2026 to July 2027
  • School based near Lincoln centre
  • Provide specialist support to pupils with Autism, ADHD and EBD
The Role:

Provide specialist support for pupils with Autism, ADHD, and emotional and behavioural difficulties through a mix of 1:1 work, small-group intervention, and structured classroom support. You will help pupils follow routines, regulate behaviour, access learning, build confidence, and engage more positively with school throughout the day.

The Candidate:

You are calm, observant, and able to build trust through consistency and clear communication. You want practical school-based experience, you can stay patient in a busy setting, and you are interested in how targeted support helps pupils with additional needs feel secure and make progress.

Requirements
  • Degree – A 2:2 or above in a creative subject.
  • Communication – Clear and confident verbal and written communication.
  • Enhanced DBS – Must hold or be willing to obtain an Enhanced DBS certificate.
  • Desire to work in education/with children – Genuine interest in supporting pupil progress and wellbeing.
  • Career Goals – A desire to pursue a career in educational or clinical psychology.
