Job summary

The Graduate Network is seeking an EYFS Graduate Teaching Assistant to support children aged 3-5 in a primary school setting.

You will work closely with the class teacher to deliver focused, age-appropriate activities that nurture early phonics, numeracy, and communication skills.

The Role:

As an EYFS Graduate Teaching Assistant, you’ll support children aged 3-5 as they begin their school journey. Working closely with the class teacher, you’ll deliver small group activities focused on early phonics, number work, and communication skills. You’ll also help create a calm, structured environment that encourages exploration, creativity, and confidence.

The Candidate:

You should hold a degree in any subject and have a genuine interest in early childhood education. Patience, enthusiasm, and strong communication skills are essential. Previous experience working with young children-whether in a nursery, school, or volunteer setting-will be an advantage.

Requirements

• Degree - A 2:2 or above in any subject.
• Communication - Clear and confident verbal and written communication.
• Enhanced DBS - Must hold or be willing to obtain an Enhanced DBS certificate.
• Desire to work in education/with children - A strong interest in EYFS and early child development.
• Experience working with children - Any relevant experience such as nursery work, mentoring, or volunteering is desirable but not essential.
