TeacherActive is supporting a specialist SEN setting in Oldbury to recruit an SEN English Teacher for KS2–KS4 with SEMH pupils. The role focuses on delivering English lessons in a nurturing, therapeutic environment, adapting content to individual needs and maintaining calm classroom routines.

Qualifications

• QTS with strong English teaching background.
• Experience teaching English across KS2–KS4.
• Experience supporting SEMH and additional needs.
• Strong classroom and behaviour management skills.
• Ability to adapt teaching within a therapeutic, nurturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Teach English across KS2–KS4, adapting lessons to meet individual needs for SEMH pupils.
• Maintain calm, consistent classroom routines to support SEMH.
• Attend safeguarding and DBS procedures and ensure pupil welfare.
