TeacherActive Limited is working with a specialist secondary SEN school in Newton Abbot to appoint an experienced SEN English Teacher for a long-term temporary role, ASAP to the end of the academic year.

You will teach English across KS3/KS4, adapting lessons for students with SEMH/ADHD and varying learning needs, while applying strong behaviour management to support challenging behaviours.

Qualifications

• Qualified Teacher Status with English specialism.
• Experience teaching English across KS3/KS4, adapting lessons to meet individual learning needs.
• Experience supporting students with SEMH, ADHD and additional learning difficulties.
• Strong behaviour management skills and proven experience managing challenging behaviours.
• Ability to deliver engaging, differentiated English lessons for students working below age-related expectations.
• Patient, resilient and adaptable approach to teaching.

Responsabilités

• Teach English across KS3/KS4, adapting lessons for students at lower academic levels.
• Deliver engaging, differentiated English lessons for students with SEMH/ADHD.
• Support positive behaviour and well-being in a SEN school environment.
