TeacherActive is partnering with a specialist SEN setting in Oldbury to recruit an SEN English Teacher for a long-term, immediate-start role. The post covers KS2 to KS4 English, with lessons tailored to meet individual needs within a nurturing, therapeutic environment.

The successful applicant will have QTS and experience across KS2-KS4, plus a strong track record in supporting pupils with SEMH and managing behavioural challenges in a calm, compassionate manner.

Qualifications

• QTS with a strong English teaching background.
• Experience teaching English across KS2-KS4.
• Experience supporting pupils with SEMH and additional needs.
• Strong classroom and behaviour management skills.
• Ability to adapt teaching within a therapeutic and nurturing environment.
• Patient, resilient and compassionate approach.

Responsabilités

• Teach English across KS2-KS4 with adaptations for SEMH.
• Plan and deliver engaging English lessons meeting individual needs.
• Maintain a calm, consistent approach to support SEMH pupils.
• Contribute to safeguarding and DBS compliance.
