Job summary

Teaching Personnel is seeking a compassionate SEN Support Worker to join a specialist secondary school in Middleton. You will support pupils with complex needs, helping them engage in learning, develop social skills, and build independence alongside teachers and therapists.

Ideal candidates will have experience supporting children or vulnerable individuals, strong communication skills, and a patient, resilient approach. Personal care support may be required in this rewarding role.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting children or young people with additional needs.
• Ability to manage challenging behaviours calmly.
• Willingness to provide personal care.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
• Patience, resilience and adaptability.
• Genuine passion for supporting young people with SEND.
• Desirable: experience with ASC, PMLD, CLDD or SEMH.
