Job summary

Academics is recruiting an experienced SEN Cover Teacher to support an Alternative Provision setting in Cheltenham. You will deliver lessons to learners with additional needs, working with teaching assistants to ensure personalised learning experiences and progress.

The role requires QTS and a calm, patient approach to managing behaviour, with a commitment to inclusive education. Flexible start ASAP; term-time only; daily rate 140–190 GBP depending on experience.

Qualifications

• Must hold QTS.
• Enhanced DBS check, or willing to apply for one.
• Experience working with learners with additional needs.

Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging lessons tailored to individual learner needs.
• Provide high quality teaching and learning opportunities across the curriculum.
• Support learners with a range of additional needs, including social, emotional and behavioural needs.
• Create a calm, safe and inclusive classroom environment.
• Build positive relationships with learners and staff.
• Monitor and assess learner progress, providing appropriate feedback.
