Job summary

Prospero Teaching is seeking SEN Cover Supervisors to join specialist schools in Swindon. You will deliver pre-planned lessons, support pupils with a range of needs, and provide pastoral guidance to help learners stay engaged when the class teacher is absent.

This role suits those with experience in education, youth work or similar, and values patience, resilience, and strong communication. A full UK driving licence is preferred for school locations.

Qualifications

• Experience with children or young people in education, youth work or similar.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
• Patience, resilience and ability to stay calm in challenging situations.

Responsibilities

• Supervise classes and deliver pre-planned lessons in teachers' absence.
• Support pupils with Autism, SEMH, ADHD, MLD, SLD and other needs.
• Promote positive behaviour and a calm learning environment.
• Build strong relationships with students and staff.
• Provide pastoral support and help with emotional regulation and independence.
• Work with teaching staff and wider support teams to engage learners.
