Job summary

Prospero Teaching is recruiting SEN Teaching Assistants to join specialist schools across Swindon. You will provide tailored support to pupils with Autism, SEMH, ADHD and other needs, in classroom and 1:1 settings.

You'll collaborate with teachers and multidisciplinary teams to help learners engage with lessons, manage emotions and develop independence. A patient, compassionate approach and good communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience with children or vulnerable individuals is preferred but not essential.
• Patient, empathetic and resilient approach to support.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Providing 1:1 and small group support for pupils with additional needs.
• Assisting teachers in delivering engaging, differentiated lessons.
• Supporting students with Autism, SEMH, ADHD, Dyslexia, MLD, SLD and other learning needs.
• Promoting positive behaviour, emotional wellbeing and independence.
• Building strong, trusting relationships with pupils and staff.
• Encouraging participation, confidence and personal development.
• Helping to maintain a safe, structured and inclusive learning environment.
