Job summary

Priory Integrated College in Holywood is seeking a part-time Classroom Assistant to support pupils with special educational needs under supervision. You will assist with learning activities, manage resources, and help ensure a safe, inclusive environment both in-class and on trips.

The role requires a Level 2 qualification or equivalent, or at least 12 months in a formal learning setting, with strong teamwork and safeguarding awareness. Flexible working hours during school terms are offered.

Qualifications

• Hold a Level 2 (or equivalent) qualification in a relevant area.
• Or have a minimum of 12 months' experience in a formal learning environment.
• Demonstrate knowledge of health and safety requirements and safeguarding.
• Show communication and teamwork abilities.

Responsibilities

• Assist with SEN pupil(s) to access the curriculum and participate in programmes.
• Support with personal needs including dietary, feeding and toileting as required.
• Contribute to inclusive education and assist with behaviour management as directed.
• Prepare and use resources, supervise activities and help pupils stay on task.
