Job summary

Vetro Recruitment is seeking a dedicated SEN Class Teacher to join a leading special school in the Wirral. The role involves delivering personalised education to pupils with severe and complex learning difficulties and autistic spectrum disorders, focusing on communication, independence and social skills.

You will work with Teaching Assistants, families and multidisciplinary teams to plan engaging lessons, monitor progress and foster an inclusive, nurturing classroom where every pupil can

Qualifications

• A recognised teaching qualification (e.g., QTS).
• Experience working with pupils with SEND, preferably in a special or inclusive setting.
• A strong commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
• Excellent organisational and communication skills.
• Patience, resilience, and a compassionate approach to supporting pupils with diverse needs.

Responsibilities

• Planning and delivering engaging, differentiated lessons tailored to individual pupil needs.
• Working closely with Teaching Assistants, families, and multidisciplinary professionals to support pupil progress.
• Developing communication, social, and independence skills through personalised learning programmes.
• Monitoring and recording pupil progress, adjusting teaching strategies accordingly.
