Job summary

Empowering Learning Ltd. is seeking a dedicated Care Assistant (SEN TA) for a Special Educational Needs school in Bolton. You will provide tailored support to students with SEND, guiding academic, social, and emotional development within a small team.

Working as a key worker, you will implement individualised learning and behaviour plans, track progress, and collaborate with teachers, SENCOs, therapists and parents to promote inclusion and wellbeing. Term-time hours apply.

Qualifications

• Placements/ volunteering or employed experience with children and young people with SEND.
• Calm, patient, nurturing approach for complex needs.
• Excellent communication and collaboration with staff, parents, and external agencies.
• Flexible, resilient, and committed to making a positive impact.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-to-one and small group support for SEND students.
• Develop and implement individualised learning and behaviour plans.
• Monitor progress and maintain records; update teachers and parents.
• Foster positive relationships and social-emotional development.
• Assist with personal care and mobility where needed.
• Promote a safe, inclusive learning environment.
• Participate in team meetings, training, reviews.
• Liaise with external agencies to ensure appropriate support.
