Job summary

Empowering Learning Ltd is recruiting a Children’s Support Worker (SEN TA) for a Bolton SEN school. You will provide targeted 1:1 and small group support to pupils with SEND, helping them engage in learning and grow socially and emotionally.

You will work within a multidisciplinary team, create personalised support plans, track progress and liaise with teachers, parents and external agencies to ensure consistent progress and well-being.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children and young people with SEND, preferably in a school or care setting.
• Calm, patient and nurturing approach to complex needs.
• Excellent communication and ability to work with staff, parents and external agencies.
• Flexibility, resilience and a commitment to pupil well-being.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-to-one and small group support to students with SEND.
• Develop and implement individualised learning and behaviour plans with staff.
• Monitor progress and maintain accurate records for teachers and parents.
• Foster positive relationships and support social and emotional development.
• Assist with personal care and mobility where needed.
• Contribute to a safe, inclusive learning environment and participate in meetings.
