Job summary

Brentwood School and Community College is seeking a SEN Assistant to support students with a range of needs during the school day, including personal care, meals, moving and handling, and work experience activities. The role is based at Brentwood School, co-located with a post-19 college, with safeguarding at the core of duties.

The successful candidate will be approachable, well-organised, and capable of working as part of a committed team.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting students with special needs.
• Experience with personal care and moving and handling.
• Ability to work as part of a team and maintain high standards of cleanliness.

Responsibilities

• Assist with personal care, eating/drinking, moving and handling.
• Support students with activities and work experience, canteen duties and other tasks.
• Work in regulated activity with children and adults and support safeguarding commitments.
