Job summary

Remedy Education is currently recruiting a compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to support children with a range of needs at an Brentwood school. The role covers primary and secondary classes, in small groups or 1:1, with emphasis on wellbeing and personalised learning.

You will work closely with teachers, SENCOs and external professionals, follow EHCP targets, support communication and emotional regulation, and assist with personal care when required.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting children or young people with SEN, ASD, ADHD or complex needs.
• Calm, patient and resilient approach.
• Comfortable working across primary and secondary age groups.
• Confident supporting non-verbal or limited communication pupils.
• Willing to support personal care where needed.
• Strong team player with a proactive attitude.
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).

Responsibilities

Are you a patient, caring and committed SEN Teaching Assistant looking to start a new role as soon as possible where you can genuinely make a difference?

We are working with a well-resourced and highly supportive SEN schools in Brentwood that caters for both primary and secondary-aged pupils. They are looking to appoint a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join their specialist provision as soon as possible. This person will work in small groups or 1:1 with children who have a range of needs.
