Career Choices Dewis Gyrfa Ltd is seeking an enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistant to join a Brent-based school. You will support pupils with diverse needs, helping them feel safe, supported and confident in learning experiences.

The role requires calm, patient, and proactive involvement. You will assist with classroom routines, communication, emotional regulation and positive behaviour management across a supportive team.

Qualifications

• SEN experience is highly desirable
• A calm, patient and resilient approach
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Confidence supporting pupils with different learning needs
• Experience in a school, care, youth work, nursery or support setting is desirable
• A valid enhanced DBS on the update service, or willingness to apply for one

Responsibilities

• Support pupils with a range of additional needs, including ASD, ADHD, SEMH and learning difficulties
• Work with students on a 1:1 and small group basis
• Help pupils stay engaged, focused and confident throughout the school day
• Support communication, emotional regulation and positive behaviour
